ISRO's PSLV-C61 Mission Falters: Anomaly Halts EOS-09 Satellite Launch
It sounds like ISRO faced a setback with the PSLV-C61 EOS-09 mission launch from Sriharikota today. While the first two stages performed as expected, an issue arose during the third stage, preventing the mission from being accomplished. ISRO Chairman V Narayanan mentioned that further analysis will be conducted to understand the anomaly.
The EOS-09 satellite was intended to be a repeat of EOS-04, focusing on providing consistent remote sensing data for various applications and increasing the frequency of observations. Its Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) payload is particularly valuable as it can capture images in all weather conditions, day or night, making it crucial for diverse applications like agriculture, forestry, disaster management, urban planning, and national security.
It's certainly a disappointment, but these things can happen in space launches. Hopefully, ISRO will quickly identify the problem and get back on track.
